Hollywood, CA - August 6, 2013, Stonedef Records announced that the 2013 EOTM Awards (http://www.eotmawards.com/), hosted by Farrah Abraham and Matt Martin, were held in West Hollywood, CA Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Pacific Design Center from 6-9pm.
The EOTMs (Entrepreneurs on the Move) handed out "accolades presented by the EOTM Radio & TV Network celebrating entrepreneurial achievements and performances in business, philanthropy and the arts (television, music, radio, literature, film, directing and writing)". The EOTM Awards 2013 was produced by Executive Producer & CEO Carla B. & Producer Monea Williams.
Captivating the audience with her stage presence, poise and charm, hit songwriter and recording artist Fawn was the first presenter of the evening, after the opening acts. As she commanded the crowd with her sparkling smile and personality, it was clear that she not only mesmerized her audience, but prepared them for the evenings festivities. The first category up was for “Outstanding Talk Show” for Diversity News Radio (http://diversitynewsradio.diversitynewspublications.com) which was awarded to Steven Escobar (http://diversitynewspublications.com/), “one of the hardest working guys I know,” explained Fawn, as Escobar came up to accept his award.
Fawn was nominated in 3 EOTM Award categories for Best Pop song, Best Music Video and Best Female Artist. She took home the award for Best Female Artist, beating out the legendary Taylor Dayne. Fawn’s speech was one of the most memorable of the evening. Surprised at her win, she said, “I wasn’t really expecting this, just being nominated is such an honor. Congratulations to every one who was nominated tonight, really, you have all won.” She thanked the usual – friends, family, God – but her final thank you caught the audience off guard when she eloquently said, “to all the negative people, the naysayers, the gossipers, I want to thank you especially because you have given me so much strength and determination to keep going and to stand for truth and justice in the world.” The audience broke into shouts of approval and thunderous clapping, as she continued, “For any one who is struggling or feeling depressed right now, when some one is trying to push you down, you have to be who you are born to be and be a light in the world.”
Other notable winners of the evening were veteran actress Kate Linder (The Young and The Restless) for “Best Female Actress in a Daytime Soap,” Reatha Grey (Betty White’s Off Their Rockers) for “Outstanding Reality Star,” Vincent Ward (The Walking Dead) for “Best Supporting Actor,” Sean Blakemore (General Hospital) for “Best Actor in A Daytime Soap,” BooBoo Stewart (Breaking Dawn) “Motion Picture Actor,” Christine Devine (FOX 11 Los Angeles) for “Best TV Anchor,” Lourdes Duque Baron (http://lourdesduquebaron.com/) (Scripted In Heaven (http://scriptedinheaven.com/)) for “Outstanding Inspirational/Biographical Literature” and Marla Gibbs took home the EOTM for “The Perfect Family.”
