PORTLAND, Ore. -- Parent Led Reform, an organization who projects parental power into education reform, announces the unveiling of their Oregon chapter on Friday, July 12, 2013. Originally, Parent Led Reform Oregon began as Stop Common Core in Oregon, but it soon became apparent to its two founders that they needed to broaden the focus of their group. Under PLR's National Director, Karin Piper, PLR Oregon is stretching its wings and preparing to soar. Along with the name change, new resources will be added to empower parents to take control of their children's education.
PLR Oregon's website www.parentledreformoregon.org provides parents and educators with up-to-date information regarding major issues in Oregon education. Our FaceBook group Parent Led Reform Oregon and Twitter @PLROregon helps concerned parents and teachers stay connected via social media. Contact us directly by email at plroregon@gmail.com.
PLR Oregon's COO, Macey France, encourages parents, "The government is forcing top-down education "reform" and we are fighting back with ground-up revolution!"
