This summer is set to bring a host of exciting new music releases onto the scene, and here is a rundown of some of latest albums and LPs to come from Code 7 Music distribution network in July:
· Various Artists – Los Nuggetz
A rare collection of almost 100 songs over four CDs, covering the best of the 1960s hyper kinetic garage, punk, pop and psychedelic scene from Spain, Mexico and other Latin American countries. The first CD is a particular highlight, with unique interpretations of popular 60s hits such as You Really Got Me and These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.
· Man’s Gin – Rebellion Hymns
The new album from Man’s Gym sees the band take their music to a darker, more cinematic level, with
· Wobbler – Rites at Dawn
This is a repress of the much sought-after 2011 album from Norway’s leading symphonic prog band. Rites at Dawn is as close to the 70s prog rock experience you will get to in the modern day, with vintage sounds and appearances from members of White Willow and Jaga Jazzist making up this stellar and powerful third album from Wobbler.
· Frank Black- Oddballs.
This is a real treat for fans and historians of Black’s epic career. Long out of print and originally only available at shows over 10 years ago. Oddballs is a collection of rare gems recorded between 1994 and 1997.
