Candidates interested in applying for behavioral assistant (BA) jobs must know about the minimum requirements includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field, 2 years of relevant direct experience, experience working with youth undergoing behavioral or emotional challenges, previous experience working with confidential information and must demonstrate sound technological skills. Requirement applicable for another NJ employment opportunity of intensive in community counselor (IIC) includes a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work etc and a State approved clinical licensure.
The duties and responsibility for the behavioral assistant candidate include: modeling and implementing treatment interventions established by IIC as mentioned in the treatment plan, provide support to case managers, school personnel and family’s effort to stabilize the child or adolescence, develop progress notes describing each client contact and how that contact relates to the concerned treatment goals and lastly attend supervision and participate in professional development necessary. Candidates applying for certified teachers must fulfill the minimum requirements of a bachelor’s degree from accredited university in education or related field, have valid teaching certificate from State of New Jersey, and experience in providing educational instruction to students attending Title I schools or enrolled in special education. The candidates are also expected to be technologically savvy and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
