SWANSEA, U.K. -- Award winning Welsh poet Jemma King is to read at Swansea’s Dylan Thomas Centre on Thursday 27 June.
Jemma who won the prestigious Terry Hetherington Award in 2011 will read from her new collection ‘The Shape of a Forest’, which has been published by Parthian.
Jo Furber, Swansea Council’s Literature Officer said “Jemma’s new collection has been described as haunting, distinctive and sensual.
“It certainly is a sophisticated debut that offers a powerful survey of life and human experience”.
Jemma L King currently teaches literature and creative writing at Aberystwyth University where she also completed her doctoral thesis.
Jemma has seen her creative and academic work published internationally.
