The Oklahoma City area has incurred a number of devastating tornadoes over the last month, including two extremely rare EF5 tornadoes. More than 40 individuals have been killed and the damage has been heartbreaking and widespread.
eReplacementParts.com, a company specializing in providing original equipment manufacturer parts and repair tutorials, wants to help. The company is holding a Facebook contest in support of the rescue efforts, and hopes to raise awareness and provide a little relief for an individual or family that has been affected by the recent storms.
"We realize there are families that have lost everything. They may be struggling just to provide food for their children,” said David Fairbanks, CEO of eReplacementParts.com. “We hope that by holding this Facebook contest, people will read about the families that are hurting, and more companies and individuals will reach out and offer assistance. It isn't a lot, but when you need groceries and clothing, $500 can really help.”
To enter, eReplacementParts.com’s Facebook fans will need to upload a picture of the family or individual that has been affected by the storms in Oklahoma and tell their story.
The contest will run from June 17 to July 1. Finalists must provide proof of residency in Oklahoma or affected areas.
