ALMERE, The Netherlands, 17 June 2013 – Dyzle BV, the global innovator in measuring and analyzing business process data for the cold chain in real-time, has introduced the latest version of its cold chain technology platform, designed to integrate seamlessly into new global guidelines on ‘Good Distribution Practice’, or GDP. It is based on the already proven and widely used Dyzle solution supporting operational teams for the transport, logistics and storage of temperature-sensitive products. The latest platform relieves managers from the burden of compliance reporting by fully automating the mandatory registration and interpretations requirements in the global pharmaceutical, food and retail transport and logistics markets.
Good distribution practice (GDP) ensures that a level of quality is maintained throughout a distribution network. The GDP guidelines require that it should be possible to demonstrate that products have complied with temperature conditions under which they must be stored and transported. In the pharmaceutical sector, this helps assure retail pharmacists and the general public that the medicines they receive are still usable.
Dyzle’s latest generation platform enables and automates the tracing and environmental registration part of this process. It collects data from multiple sensors and monitoring systems, and provides customers with automatic registration and interpretation of their business process parameters like temperature, humidity, CO2 and energy consumption in real-time.
Bert Zandhuis, CEO of Dyzle, said, “Our latest version of the platform is based on an already proven technology platform. It is the result of our customers’ inputs and our development team’s expertise built up over a decade, in understanding what data customers need from their cold chain and what that data means. We’ve invested over Euro $10 million in developing what is a really complex and fully scalable product at the back-end, but made extremely simple to use as far as the customer is concerned. With one view, we provide complete end-to-end visibility of the cold chain on any internet enabled device, enabling automatic registration that is needed to meet the new GDP guidelines.”
A significant benefit of the latest platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution from Dyzle is in the interpretation and analysis of the collected data for different levels in an organization – whether it is at corporate level, at QA management level, or at work-floor level. Different personal dashboards are available depending on who you are or what information is needed:
- for the CEO or senior management team, the dashboard can be designed to highlight the financial impact of any excursions in the cold chain
- at QA level management, a dashboard can help flag up and understand issues in product quality
- at the operations level, a dashboard or map overlay allows managers to identify any particular point in the cold chain which needs to be addressed, for example if a temperature excursion has arisen.
By focusing on the development of the platform instead of just hardware, Dyzle is the only company to offer an open independent platform solution, which means it can integrate and utilize data collected from any source, whether it is from proprietary systems or legacy technologies. By automatic measuring of critical variables such as temperature, humidity, energy consumption and CO2, this approach realizes full visibility of the total cold chain whilst at the same time securing previous investments.
Through the entire supply chain – from storage to transport and distribution Dyzle collects data, analyzes it, and makes it visible via a ‘one click’ personal dashboard accessible securely over the web from any internet-enabled device.
