RACELAND, LA, January 19, 2025 - David L. Adkins, RN, BSN, has been recognized for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. For more than 15 years, Mr. Adkins has dedicated himself to providing exceptional patient care as a registered nurse with Ochsner Health. His travel contracts take him to different emergency rooms across the United States, where he treats patients for a wide range of medical conditions. This role has allowed him to not only leverage his extensive skills and knowledge but also adapt to changing health care environments and patient needs.

Before joining Ochsner, Mr. Adkins served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. During his time in the Navy, he participated in fleet reinforcements, helicopter searches, and rescue operations. This early exposure to critical care situations honed his ability to perform under pressure.

Mr. Adkins received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. Additionally, he has held a certification from the Emergency Nurses Association since 2011. To remain aware of developments relevant to his interests, he has maintained his affiliation with various organizations, including the Emergency Nurses Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Throughout his career, Mr. Adkins has been recognized for his contributions and dedication to health care with several letters of appreciation. He attributes his success to always striving to develop professionally, evidenced by his years of travel nursing, which have further sharpened his ability to provide exemplary care in diverse settings throughout the United States.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Adkins enjoys housework, fishing, and visiting national parks and historical sites. These hobbies allow him to recharge and maintain his passion for nursing.
