Terrence Ceulemans, MSChE, Recognized for Contributions to the Field of Staffing and Recruitment

WOODBURY, MN, January 19, 2025 - Terrence Ceulemans, MSChE, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Well-regarded for nearly three decades of leadership and expertise in the field of technology, Mr. Ceulemans has most recently distinguished himself in the area of staffing and recruitment as the owner and president of an AtWork Personnel group affiliate in Minnesota. Founded in 1986, AtWork Personnel is a national provider of light-industrial and administrative staffing services and has been cited as one of the fastest-growing and largest staffing brands in the United States. With his affiliate largely still in the development and preparation phase, Mr. Ceulemans has ambitious plans to create a talent and recruitment ecosystem that best matches the needs of clients in the Midwest region.

Prior to his current endeavors at AtWork, Mr. Ceulemans earned distinction between 1994 and 2023 at 3M, a major industrial machinery and manufacturing conglomerate. Spending the first two decades of his career in Europe, he initially served in various technical, marketing and supervisory roles before achieving Six Sigma Black Belt certification, after which he rose to managerial positions across Belgium, Luxembourg and France, culminating in his advancement to the role of vice president of automotive and aerospace solutions. Throughout this period, he garnered a laudable reputation for his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and represent key strategic accounts in the electrical vehicle, aerospace and automation sectors.

After immigrating to the United States, where he settled in Minnesota, Mr. Ceulemans remained active at 3M as senior director of global application engineering - first for the transportation and electronics division, and then for abrasive systems. During his time at the transportation and electronics division, the electric vehicle industry faced a significant challenge due to the risk of battery instability. To address this issue, Mr. Ceulemans and his team developed a thermal runaway barrier. This solution effectively isolated and extinguished potential battery fires, making electric vehicles safer for passengers. Their innovative approach resulted in successful partnerships with leading companies such as Tesla and Build Your Dreams (BYD), making 3M's solutions a crucial part of many electric vehicles today.

In 2023, Mr. Ceulemans reflected on his success in the corporate sector and ultimately decided to chart his own path. Passionate in his desire to exert a positive impact on the lives of others, he resolved to enter the field of staffing and recruitment, partnering with AtWork Personnel to leverage their extensive experience and excellent industry practices. As he prepares to set up his team, Mr. Ceulemans will take on the role of general manager and president, aiming to be closely involved with his staff, supporting and guiding them to be more successful and efficient. The first office in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is set to open in early September 2024, and he plans to expand further by establishing additional branches throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. Outside of his work at AtWork, he is also the president and chief executive officer of CandC Staffing Services LLC, a staffing, recruitment and business consulting firm.

Mr. Ceulemans holds several degrees from KU Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), including a bachelor's degree and master's degree in chemical engineering. He also studied marketing management at the Vlerick Business School and received an MBA at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. To remain aware of developments in his current field, he maintains his affiliation with the American Staffing Association. He has also been a member of the Royal Flemish Society of Engineers.

Well-regarded for his inimitable contributions to the field while working at 3M, Mr. Ceulemans received multiple accolades, including an induction into the Grit for Growth Legends Club and the Circle of Technical Excellence and Innovation. He was also bestowed with the Golden Step Award and a Triumph Golden Step Award. In accounting for his success, he largely credits the influence and support of his early mentors, whose candidness and authenticity impressed him deeply, shaping his approach to leadership in the years to come. He also prioritizes the success of others by fostering open dialogue and striving to create an environment where employees can motivate themselves.

In his personal endeavors, Mr. Ceulemans has served as an operational volunteer at Feed My Starving Children since 2018. Looking ahead, he is determined to transform his AtWork affiliate into a highly successful and profitable venture. He also envisions enlisting the help of his son and wife in the business for office management, development and recruitment purposes. He is confident that they will acquit themselves well as valuable members of the company in the years to come.
