Shreya K. Kanodia, PhD, Recognized for Expertise in Cancer Research Management

BELLAIRE, TEXAS, January 17, 2025 - Shreya K. Kanodia, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Prior to joining the leadership team of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, she was the deputy director of administration at UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, where she had previously served as associate director of administration and executive director of cancer research, and she held roles at Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center, including assistant professor, director of grants development, and associate director of administration. Additionally, Dr. Kanodia co-owned and directed business development at Advanced Microdevices Pvt. Ltd. and served in administrative and grants management roles at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the University of Hawai'i Cancer Center.

Dr. Kanodia's academic foundation includes a doctorate in immunology and cell biology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), completed in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology and biochemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, completed in 1999. In addition to this rigorous training, she attributes her success to a number of personal traits, most notably perseverance, flexibility, humility, openness to feedback, and acknowledging limitations in one's own knowledge.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kanodia has been recognized with several awards, including the Fellow Hurgen's Children Library Best Fellowship, Mason of Glory Fellowship, College Sciences Foundation Fellowship, National Institute of Health Travel Awards, and International Papillomavirus Society recognition. These accolades reflect her dedication to advancing cancer research and her commitment to excellence in her field.
