Herve Georges Buzot Displays Excellence in Research and Development

Prior to his current role, Mr. Buzot was the packaging engineering manager for the fragrance and beauty division at Chanel from 2013 to 2016. During this time, he spearheaded North American packaging development and innovation for the company's global toiletries line. Before joining Chanel, he spent a year in Canada as the global marketing manager for Bombardier Recreational Products, focusing on the Ski-Doo brand. His tenure there was marked by strategic marketing initiatives that significantly enhanced brand visibility.

Mr. Buzot's career also includes consulting roles with Bayer Holding Ltd. and Nestlé Health Science in 2012 and 2011, respectively, during which time he developed successful marketing concepts for brands such as Citracal and Flintstones. From 2009 until 2011, he provided marketing and new product development consulting services, leveraging his extensive industry knowledge to drive innovation.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Buzot served as a product development manager at Pierre Fabre between 2006 and 2009, where he launched new products marketed toward dermatologists, and plastic surgeons. His role as a packaging development manager at L'Oréal from 2003 to 2006 involved relaunching product lines for Lancôme and Redken brands. He spent his foundational years at Johnson & Johnson from 1995 until 2003, holding various research and development positions across Germany, France and the United States.

Pivotal in shaping Mr. Buzot's innovative approach and leadership skills was his robust academic background. He first obtained an associate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Montpellier in 1992, followed by a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and design from Preston University in 1993. After acquiring a Master of Science in industrial engineering from Cranfield University in 1995, he earned an MBA in international business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2001.

In recognition of Mr. Buzot's contributions to the industry, his work has received several awards, including the "Best Volumizing Mascara for Sensitive Eyes" by Cosmopolitan in 2024 and the New Beauty Award for "Best Volumizing Mascara" in 2023. He was also honored with the Clear Choice Packaging Award for DKNY Nectar Love in 2018. Additionally, he shared his insights as a guest speaker at SupplySide East in 2011 and was featured in "Inside Cosmeceuticals."
