As an expert in risk and compliance assessment, cybersecurity solutions, and generative artificial intelligence solutions, she works with organizations to achieve IT transformations that align technology capabilities with industry standards and strategic goals. Her dynamic role entails steering the company's strategic direction and ensuring the achievement of long-term goals.
Prior to founding Concepta Innovation Solutions, LLC, in 2018, Ms. Onyewuchi spent nearly a decade with the Social Security Administration as cybersecurity program manager, branch chief and team lead, during which she earned numerous accolades. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant and engineer at the U.S. Department of Defense, Unisys Corporation, L3 Corporation, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, Veteran Benefits Administration, Lunarline Inc. and OAO Corporation.
One of Ms. Onyewuchi's career highlights has been the successful implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity framework for a multinational corporation. This project, notable for its complexity and scale, involved fortifying the organization's defenses while ensuring the protection of sensitive data and the integrity of its digital infrastructure. She approached this project and others with a high level of professionalism, making her a role model to her peers.
Born one of eight siblings in Nigeria, Ms. Onyewuchi attributes her success to her hardworking parents. Her father, a politician and educator involved in Nigeria's 1960 independence parliament, and her accomplished mother nurtured in her an early love for learning, introducing her to important literary works and emphasizing the importance of education. Likewise, Ms. Onyewuchi's journey into the realm of IT and cybersecurity began with a fascination for problem-solving and a deep-seated curiosity about how technology shapes our world; from an early age, she was captivated by the intricacies of computer systems and the limitless potential they held.
Ms. Onyewuchi earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Nigeria. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in information assurance, computer and information systems security from Norwich University in 2007, graduating cum laude. She is a Microsoft 365 Generative AI Technical Champion, completed the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business's Tech Innovator: Mastery and Business Innovation in a Digital Era program, and is a Certified Chief Information Officer and Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP).
Outside of work, Ms. Onyewuchi supports STEM education and volunteers with the Carnegie Mellon University Heinz College Summer Leadership Symposium. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, reading and hiking. Looking toward the future, she is excited to continue to advance technology and to dedicate more of her time to mentoring.
