An expert in her field, Ms. Edwards is a native of Gulfport, MS and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing from Xavier University of Louisiana. After earning her degree, she earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resources Certification Institute and as a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management.

Ms. Edwards is not just a professional in her field but an active participant. Over the years, she has aligned herself with Forbes Human Resources Council, the Society for Human Resource Management, the International Coaching Federation, the International Ombuds Association, the Charlotte Area Society for Human Resource Management, and the North Carolina chapter of the International Public Management Association. Her contributions to her community include serving as a mentor for five years for the Charlotte Business Journal's mentoring program and past participation on various parent boards for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District, as well as the Women in Business Associate Board for UNCC.

Ms. Edwards' outstanding achievements have not gone unnoticed. She has been honored many times, earning the Distinguished Myers-Johnson New Member Award through the International Public Management Association and the Best in Human Resources Award through the Charlotte Business Journal. Likewise, she was named one of Charlotte Business Journal's Top 25 Women in Business in 2024, a testament to her significant contributions to her field.

While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Edwards takes the most pride in her family. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and two children.
