October 10, 2024 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has provided details of a new consumer safety specification for nursing pillows published by ASTM.
Developed by the ASTM Highchairs and Hook-On-Chair Subcommittee, ASTM F3669-24 was approved on September 1, 2024, and published on September 24, 2024. It addresses hazards identified by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), such as falls, suffocation and positional asphyxiation. Provisions in the standards cover everything from small parts and lead in paint to instructional literature.
