October 10, 2024 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 135.24 to provide stakeholders with an overview of New Yorks State’s new legislation encouraging the safe use of e-bikes and lithium-ion batteries.
Governor Kathy Hochul signed the package of laws on July 11, 2024. The legislation aims to make e-bike and micromobility devices safer and more desirable for New Yorkers and includes provisions focused on educating the population on purchasing choices, storage and use.
