In celebration of ABS-CBN’s 60 years of television and as a way of thanking Filipinos in the Middle East for their continued support, The Filipino Channel (TFC) launches its offering for 2013 aptly dubbed Anibersaryo Diskuwento Promo ng TFC.
ABS-CBN, the premier network in the world, was launched in 1953 under the name DZAQ-TV, owned by Bolinao Electronics Corporation, later renamed as Alto Broadcasting System (ABS). From its broadcast of a small party, the network has come a long way. After a merger between ABS owners James Lindenberg and Judge Antonio Quirino and Chronicle Broadcasting Network (CBN) owners Eugenio Lopez, Sr. and Vice President Fernando Lopez in 1956, the leading television network, has explored all possible avenues to bring entertainment to every Filipino home since then. In celebration of ABS-CBN’s anniversary, TFC will give a SAR 60 discount for a minimum four-month subscription to its satellite service. The promo is open to all subscribers both new and renewing.
