The book will be available in both paperback and Kindle versions. The book was released in October to help celebrate National Book Month.

"I am very thrilled at bringing back Daniel Byrd to tackle his next case in Asphalt Blues," said Phillip W. Price, author of Asphalt Blues. "The reaction to the previous books in the series by readers has been overwhelming and I promise they will not be disappointed with Asphalt Blues which continues the law enforcement feats of Daniel Byrd.

"In Asphalt Blues, Daniel Byrd encounters some of his most challenging opponents yet," continued Price. "They will stop at nothing to end Daniel Byrd's career. Readers be glued to the story until the last page and will want even more of Byrd if he survives this book.

"In writing these books, I seek to make them as realistic as possible by drawing on my law enforcement experience with the GBI and other agencies," concluded Price. "I seek to bring the world of law enforcement alive to readers in as an entertaining, thrilling, and accurate way as possible."

Asphalt Blues picks up from the aftermath of Self Rescue, the third book in the Byrd series. Following the events of Self Rescue, Mexican cartel drug lord Rojo and CIA spook Mitch Warren, gained a new vendetta against Daniel Byrd and Texas Ranger Clete Petterson. A vendetta calling for their heads. With another scheme to smuggle meth across state lines, they may just get the chance in Asphalt Blues. The book will keep readers wanting more of Daniel Byrd and Price promises this isn't the end of the Byrd series. Many have compared Price's work to Breaking Bad and Jack Reacher on steroids.
