GLENDALE, CA, August 27, 2024 - Tensie J. Taylor has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After completing internships in employee communications, technical writing, and diversity consulting with Nortel, IBM, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ms. Taylor received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from North Carolina State University and served as a presidential assistant at the University of North Carolina General Administration System. In the following years, she worked as a diversity program assistant for North Carolina State University before moving from North Carolina to Los Angeles. Her positive outlook led her to connect with a producer who introduced her to the entertainment industry, allowing her to attend prestigious events such as the Grammys, Oscars, and Emmys.
Over the years, Ms. Taylor honed her management and consulting expertise with positions at North Carolina State University and the University of Southern California. Through her years-long tenure with the University, she helped process applications, provided tours to prospective graduate and doctoral students, managed, planned, and organized fundraising programs, and instituted partnerships with such entities as the Los Angeles Lakers, the Creative Artists Agency, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the African American Film Critics Association to increase employment opportunities for Black alumni. Similarly, Ms. Taylor received a Master in Education specializing in postsecondary administration and student affairs from the University of Southern California.
Backed by her considerable expertise, Ms. Taylor excels today as founder and chief executive officer of TJT CONSULTING, specializing in executive recruiting, professional coaching, leadership training, and celebrity networking. She also wrote a memoir about her experience of being bullied for 13 years entitled BULLIED From Terror to Triumph, My Survival Story. This book was endorsed by Beyonce's mother, Ms. Tina Knowles, and received a significant boost in sales after the endorsement was shared on Ms. Tina's Instagram account.
During her time at North Carolina State University, Ms. Taylor was a member of the honor society Phi Eta Sigma. Additionally, while at the University of Southern California, she was a member of the National Black Graduate Student Association and was a student ambassador for the Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs.
Ms. Taylor's professional success is underscored by the recognition and awards she has received. She was honored with the Jean F. Kilgore Scholarship the Ebony Harlem Musical Excellence Award, and first-place awards through the Phi Beta Sigma Essay Contest, the Alpha Phi Alpha Oratorical Contest, and the Native American Oratorical Contest. While she attributes her success to her strong work ethic and the values instilled in her by her parents, it is her hard work and dedication that have brought her far in her career. Looking ahead, Ms. Taylor intends to experience the continued growth and success of TJT CONSULTING.
