Before assuming her current roles, Dr. Grossi worked for Accenture LLP as Managing Director, Global Innovation & Growth Strategy, and later as eMobility & Energy Systems Innovation Lead. She worked across industry lines to advance the firm's command of the IT and OT capabilities required to design and implement digital, distributed energy systems. In earlier stages of her career, Dr. Grossi gained valuable expertise in economics, management, government affairs, and finance with UL LLC and as Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Neighborhood Technology. Likewise, Dr. Grossi worked with O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Federal Financial Analytics, and the Bretton Woods Committee.
A standout practitioner in her field, Dr. Grossi studied International Political Economy and Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad Complutense de Madrid while completing a Bachelor of Arts in the same subjects at Marquette University. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Atts and later a Doctorate in International Commerce and Trade at Georgetown University. She also obtained UL executive leadership and global leadership certificates through Yale School of Management and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Dr. Grossi's professional and educational pursuits are complemented by her community contributions. She has served as a Senior Fellow for the Conference Board, helping their economists develop metrics for corporate innovation, and as an Executive-in-Residence supporting the venture work of Energy Foundry in Chicago (now Earth Foundry). Her outstanding achievements, including being named the John Kenneth Galbraith Fellow by the ADA Education Fund and included in the 40 Under 40 by the Midwest Energy News, are a testament to her dedication to continuous learning. She takes particular pride in her study on virtual power plant technology at UL, where she invested a year researching the feasibility of Germany reaching 80 percent or even 100 percent renewables by 2030, leveraging digital aggregation and dispatching methodologies.
