A seasoned, results-driven leader with years of expertise in engineering, operations management, and training and development, Mr. Rosen excels as the Global Training Delivery Leader and Houston Learning Center Manager for GE Vernova. In this capacity, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision, pioneering the instructor development and recognition program, which significantly enhanced team performance and morale. Mr. Rosen has successfully overseen an international team of approximately 100 employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. His leadership in implementing the "Roadmap to World-Class" initiative has been instrumental in elevating the standards across the entire One Field Service training organization. This comprehensive strategic plan includes optimizing operational efficiency through a 5S initiative, enhancing support for ESL learners, emphasizing safety as a core value, and fostering community partnerships. Mr. Rosen's ability to inspire and mentor his team has driven the successful execution of these initiatives, demonstrating resilience and dedication in navigating complex challenges. Additionally, he effectively manages multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to support these key initiatives and drive organizational success.
Before obtaining his current role with GE, Mr. Rosen worked for the company as an Electrical and Excitation Product Line Leader and as an Autonomous Manufacturing Group Leader. Between 2012 and 2015, he supervised the launch of a state-of-the-art sodium metal halide battery manufacturing facility, managing manpower and equipment resources under budget. During the early stages of his career, he dedicated himself to his country through the U.S. Navy. As a Master Chief Petty Officer, Mr. Rosen was recognized as an up-and-coming leader. He served on nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU), where he trained the future leaders of the Navy and honed his instructor skills, ultimately finding his calling in the world of technical training.
An expert in his field, Mr. Rosen earned a Bachelor of Science in human resources management from New School University in 2002. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by becoming a Master Training Specialist through the Naval Education and Training Command and completing a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator Certificate in nuclear power technology and nuclear engineering. In conjunction with his professional and educational endeavors, Mr. Rosen developed relationships with the Houston School District, the Society of Women Engineers, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, helping to spread the word and encourage young men and women to pursue STEM careers.
In light of his outstanding achievements, Mr. Rosen earned a Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendations, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and several Sea Service and National Defense Ribbons. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Rosen takes the most pride in being a Master Chief Petty Officer, a position held by only two percent of the U.S. Navy population.
Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Rosen credits his success to his grandfather, who was a WWII fighter pilot and his inspiration to join the military. In the coming years, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. Mr. Rosen's ultimate goal is to have a significant impact on the way the world produces electricity and decarbonizes through leadership, mentorship, and serving as a role model.
