Concurrently, he serves as Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board and as chief scientific officer for Napo Pharmaceuticals.
Before assuming his current positions, Dr. Chaturvedi honed his skills as chief executive officer and later chairman of IndUS Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2015. He also made significant contributions as president and chief executive officer of Scion Pharmaceuticals between 2001 and 2004 after serving as a senior director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 1994 to 2001. He began his career in the industry as a product development scientist at Parke-Davis/Warner Lambert (now Pfizer) in 1988 and later joined as a pharmacokineticist at Alkermes in 1993 prior to joining Vertex.
Dr. Chaturvedi's educational background laid the groundwork for his success. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy from West Virginia University in 1988 after completing a bachelor's degree in pharmacy at the University of Mumbai in 1983.
Born in India, Dr. Chaturvedi is very proud of immigrating to the United States and launching an entrepreneurial venture in biotechnology.
