As a senior executive with all three organizations, he oversees daily business operations. He manages over 200 commercial janitorial and snow removal accounts, and millions of dollars in projects. He supervises all marketing and contract matters. Before obtaining his current role, Mr. Barrett oversaw a property portfolio with nearly 1,000 residential units as the director of operations for Crowninshield Management Corporation.

During the early stages of his career, Mr. Barrett gained valuable expertise in project and portfolio management as the vice president of American Properties Team Inc.. He is an expert in his field, a professional community associate manager, a licensed hoisting engineer, an association management specialist, a certified property manager, and an accredited real estate manager. Likewise, Mr. Barrett received an unrestricted construction license and became a licensed oil burner technician through the State of Massachusetts.

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Barrett aligns himself with the Community Associations Institute, where he currently serves as Treasurer and The Institute of Real Estate Management, through which he served as a Past President and Regional Vice President and is presently Chairman of the National Legislative Committee.

Given his professional achievements, Mr. Barrett has been recognized several times. In addition to being honored as the Community Association Institutes Manager of the Year in 2009 and Volunteer of the Year in 2022, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2023. Similarly, Mr. Barrett received the Life Time Achievement Award, Mentor of the Year Award, Past Presidents Award, Certified Property Manager of the Year Award, and the Certified Property Manager Candidate of the Year Award from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and the Blue Jacket Award from the New England Real Estate Journal, through which he has authored several articles.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Barrett takes the most pride in being respected by his peers. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his perseverance, ability to lead by example, and taking advantage of educational programs for real estate.
