Sangam University supported by Sangam Group of Industries which is one among the top ranking corporates in India today with business interests spanning textiles, steel, infrastructure, power and energy has been established by Govt. of Rajasthan Act No. 14 of 2012 incorporated u/s 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.

The cultural program La Union as well as the music night by Miss Ambili Menon became a talk in Bhilwara town among youth. The inaugural issue of the Magazine – “EQ” Education Quotient was also launched on 09 Feb 2013. The students demonstrated their social commitment by making rural connectivity visits to BPL village Sundarpura and also participated in distributing blankets to povert stricken villagers and construction workers. There were three blood donation camps held during the year and the participation of Sangam on Sep 17, 2012 Mega drive with Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad – ABTYP catapulted Bhilwara to all India 10th position.
During the year, the semester schedules were strictly adhered to for conduct of classes and examinations. Students visited Sangam Group Industries, Saras Dairy Plant, Reserve Bank of India – RBI Jaipur for corporate connect to enhance their learning integrated with world of work. Students of MBA are scheduled to carry out their summer internships in various lead organizations which include Hindustan Zinc, Religare, Sharekhan, BSL, Sangm and Kotak Securities. The university also conducted Employee Development program for the employees of Sangam Group focusing on Communication Skills.
Prof Sangeeta Sharma from BITS Pilani conducted a Faculty Development Workshop focusing on Communication for effective Teaching. In collaboration with IIT Bombay which is one among the top ranking institution in India today, workshops on Research Methodology, Aakash Tablet, Engineering Thermodynamics, Aakash Android Programming were conducted. Driven by the motto “Where Aspiration Meets Opportunity”, Sangam took pride in sponsoring passion packed Mr Anurag Maloo for undertaking the Antarctica Mission 2013. Sangam was also Knowledge Partner for the PHD Chamber of Commerce International Women's Day Celebrations at Bhilwara.
Considering the fact that Sangam University has evolved on the foundations laid by Institute of Technology & Management – ITM established in 2003, a mega alumni meet was organized in Dec 2012 to rally the old students with the Alma mater apart from a Job Fest for the graduating students of ITM. It is indeed a matter of pride that ITM had a consistent 30% girls enrollment all through the decade.
Miss Antima Soni Advisor for Strategic Planning and International Collaborations and Prof BR Natarajan President – Vice Chancellor Sangam University had extensive discussions with a consortium of Universities from Lodz Poland for collaboration which has resulted in signing of MoU with the Lodz University of Technology.
In addition to the existing BTech / MTech programs in various branches, BA, BCom (Hons), MBA, MCA, MSc (Chemistry), Certificate Course in Power Plant Operations, for the year 2013 - 2014, Sangam is launching the 3 year engineering diploma programs with specific industry focus, Masters in Finance & IT, Mathematical Economics, Geo Informatics etc.

On the occasion of completion of one year, on 17 May 2013, Sangam University band performed a rock show followed by thought provoking skit on Save Water at the City Centre Suchna Kendra and Shivaji Park Bhilwara where a large number of public also participated in the proceedings and question answer session on water conservation.
