“There are so many underlying principals wrapped up in this story,” says H.A. Jabar, of Jabar International, and Co-Producer of The IRP6 Story. “In this documentary, we will examine the theory of possible conspiracy, corruption, corporate espionage, and racism. The IRP6 story seems to be the product of a broken judicial system. There is a lot to absorb and strong emotions throughout this film.”

“A Just Cause has combed through thousands of pages of discovery and court records to get to the bottom of how this case went the direction it did to lead to the conviction of these six men,” says Sam Thurman, A Just Cause.

A Just Cause investigators have conducted interviews with family, friends and jurors. Court records show, and the IRP6 documentary will present, transcripts showing that Judge Christine Arguello instructed the jury in open court stating, “You are free to talk to whomever you wish, as much or as little as you like, about your deliberations of the facts that influenced your decision.” Private Investigator Venus Lovetere found that jurors were allegedly given different instructions in private, after leaving the courtroom.

“A juror told me that he thought it was illegal for him to talk to me about the case,” states Lovetere in an investigative report.

“These are the types of inconsistencies that will be explored during this film," says Jabar. “There is something, such as juror rights. Especially after a trial.”

“This case is strange... it absolutely makes no sense,” says William Williams, A Just Cause. “I spoke with a juror who seemed distraught when he saw evidence that was not allowed during the trial.”

“We are seeking answers to puzzling questions that continually come up in this case related to racial bias, evidence not being permitted, expert witnesses not being allowed to testify, constitutional rights being violated,” says Thurman. “We are excited to work with H.A. Jaber to expose the truth through this eye-opening documentary."

The IRP6 documentary will investigate and report on allegations that jurors were told to contact the prosecutor or the FBI, if they were contacted by anyone about the case. “This is contradictory to the instructions given in the courtroom, so this warrants another look,” says Thurman. “This is where the documentary will dig deep into what really happened and shed light on this process.”

According to a 2005 search warrant affidavit, IRP6 were accused of mail and wire-fraud. The indictment did not come until June 2009. Trial and conviction occurred in 2011.

Trial records show that the IRP6 men defended themselves pro se. The documentary will explore what led to their decision to go pro se. "Our court appointed attorneys were not doing their job to put together a viable defense," says Gary Walker, CEO, IRP Solutions Corporation. "They wanted us to do a plea deal."

Court documents show that the IRP6 men are appealing the case based on Fifth Amendment Prohibition of Compulsory Testimony, Sixth Amendment Right to Present a Defense and Speedy Trial Act Violation.

The IRP6 (Kendrick Barnes, Gary L. Walker, Demetrius K. Harper, David A. Zirpolo, Clinton A. Stewart and David A. Banks) were business executives for IRP Solutions Corporation, a software development company engaged in the development of criminal investigations software for federal, state and local law enforcement.
