Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in finance, Mr. Takara has earned distinction as an executive director and financial advisor. Since 1985, he has focused his efforts on assisting clients with managing their financial portfolios, including providing investment consulting, retirement planning, estate planning and philanthropic planning services. Notably, he works with individuals, endowments and non-profit clients.
Also dedicated to civil advocacy and cultural preservation, Mr. Takara lent his expertise as chair of the advisory committee for Trust for Public Land, a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving open spaces. He is an adviser to the Hawaii Community Foundation, the largest charitable organization of its kind in Hawaii, and the WUB Network, a global networking organization for Okinawan businesses and individuals interested in preserving Okinawan culture.
To prepare for his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Shidler College of Business in 1984. Eminently qualified in his field, he is a certified investment management analyst with the Investment Management Consultants Association. Looking to the future, Mr. Takara intends to retire in the next decade, enabling him to spend more time supporting future generations by offering financial, educational and mentorship programs to young individuals supporting Okinawan culture.
