IRVING, TX, January 25, 2024 - Noor Alshalal has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A seasoned educational administrator and adviser with years of expertise to her credit, Dr. Alshalal excels in her dual roles as relationship manager and academic adviser at Dallas College. In this capacity, she has established apprenticeships with the help of a $16 million grant and liaised with three of the largest hospitals in her area. Prior to obtaining her current roles, Dr. Alshalal gained valuable expertise with Dallas College as a success coach, administrative assistant, and English as a second language instructor.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Alshalal earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wright State University. Over the years, she endeavored to expand on her knowledge and received a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as an EdD in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Lamar University. Outside of her work, Dr. Alshalal aligns herself with the National Honor Society and the Dallas College Emerging Leaders Program.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Alshalal takes the most pride in earning her doctoral degree while maintaining a full-time job and being a full-time parent to her three-year-old daughter. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to the exceptional colleagues she has the honor of working with over the years and the steadfast support of her family. Born in Basrah, Iraq, she and her family left the country during the first Gulf War in 1991 as refugees. For three and a half years, she and her family lived in a refugee camp in Saudi Arabia while attempting to immigrate to the United States. Without her family and her experiences, she would not be where she is today. The cornerstone of her success lies in unyielding support from her family and the exceptional colleagues she has had the honor of working with over the years. Looking toward the future, Dr. Alshalal intends to obtain a higher-level position in which she can work more closely with student services.
