As a seasoned construction and architectural design expert with a proven track record of success, Mr. Muir excels as the Sr. Building Information Model (BIM) Manager for Jackson Contractor Group. Through this role, he helps bridge the technological gaps in the AEC industry for owners and project teams using Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) technologies and prefabricated building assemblies. He also oversees constructability reviews for projects and BIM training within the company, helping to realize the full vision of each project. In addition to his work with Jackson Contractor Group, Mr. Muir is a consultant for Verify 3D LLC, where he lends his technical knowledge and offers terrestrial laser scanning and VDC consulting services to owners and project teams.
Before joining Jackson Contractors, Mr. Muir gained valuable professional expertise and industry insights as an Architectural Designer with firms throughout Montana, including A&E Architects, Encompass Design Inc., DSA Architects, and Potter Clinton Development, to name a few. An Armed Forces veteran, Mr. Muir served as an Information Systems Technician Second Class (IT2) in the U.S. Navy and has received several commendations for exemplary service. An expert in his field, Mr. Muir earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture from Montana State University in 2010 and 2012, respectively, as well as several telecommunications licenses from the United States Navy in 2003.
Outside his work, Mr. Muir aligns himself with the American Institute of Architects, the Design Communication Association, the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, and Tau Sigma Delta. Dedicated to his community, he serves as a member of the MSU School of Architecture Student Advisory Council, on the board of directors for Watson Children's Shelter, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, and is a guest lecturer at universities and community colleges.

While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in bridging the technology gap between design and construction within the industry. The cornerstone of his success lies in his rigorous work ethic, candid communication, and a collaborative approach to meeting his clients' needs. Looking forward, Mr. Muir aims to continue pushing technology to the forefront of the industry. Ultimately, he hopes to one day design and build the first living habitat structures on Mars with the aid of 3D printing technologies, robotics, and virtual reality, remotely from Earth.
