NAPLES, FL, January 20, 2024 - Former Illinois Republican Congressional candidate and tech entrepreneur Jack Lombardi on Republicans to unite behind President Donald J. Trump as their nominee for president following his overwhelming and resounding win in the Iowa Caucuses. Lombardi urged Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley to end their campaigns and endorse Trump. Lombardi pointed out that Democrats and the Biden campaign are full with campaign funds they can use to attack Trump following a prolonged primary campaign. The Democrat's playbook is always to use their campaign funds against our nominees when they are unable to fully respond following primaries that have drained their coffers. We saw this happen to Bob Dole, Mitt Romney, John McCain where Democrats define our nominees when they were unable to respond due to limited funds. We cannot allow this to happen in this election with so much at stake. A further primary campaign will divide the Republican Party and play into the hands of the Biden Campaign.
"Iowa proved that Republicans want Donald J. Trump to be the nominee," said Jack Lombardi. "Now is the time for Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley to withdraw and unite the Republican Party behind Donald J. Trump.
"Having run a campaign and fallen short I know how hard it is for Governor DeSantis and Ambassador Haley," concluded Lombardi. "But I urge them to put aside personal feelings and unite behind Donald J. Trump. The Party wants him. America needs him. The stakes are too high this election and a prolonged nomination battle just helps Joe Biden."
