Since joining the firm over three years ago, Mr. Crosby has led an environmental group that provides comprehensive services from planning through NEPA clearance and permitting/compliance through construction. His expertise is particularly evident in his work with the Texas Department of Transportation and local entities such as cities and municipalities, where he ensures that projects meet all environmental compliance and permitting requirements.
Before his current role at Rodriguez Transportation Group, Mr. Crosby started his career at TxDOT Dallas District in 2005 following in his father's footsteps and has been an environmental consultant for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) since 2014. He is second to none when it comes to large complex projects and has played a key role in the success of over 10 complex award-winning Design Build projects (TxDOT, North Texas Tollway Authority, and Naval Facilities Engineering Command). His dedication to environmental compliance extended to his early career included roles as an environmental specialist and aquarist working with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center from 2008 to 2011, a board member at the Hawaii Cetacean Rehabilitation Facility from 2005 to 2011, a wildlife responder and relocation specialist at the Division of Aquatic Resources in Hawaii in 2010, and an environmental specialist for the University of Hawaii System and Division of Aquatic Resources from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, he has worked with Pisces V Deep Diving Manned Submersible aboard the Ka'imikai-o-Kanaloa research vessel.
Mr. Crosby's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in marine science, with an emphasis in environmental law, from the University of Hawaii. His academic achievements have played a significant role in his professional success, providing him with a solid foundation in scientific knowledge and legal aspects of environmental issues. The connections established through his father facilitated his entry into the transportation industry, while his unrelenting thirst for knowledge across design, NEPA, permitting, mitigation, and construction has allowed him to view transportation projects holistically.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Crosby has a love for drag racing and has restored the famous Scorpion V Top Fuel Dragster. He campaigns the nitromethane-burning front engine dragster from coast to coast. When not immersed in his work or automotive hobbies Mr. Crosby enjoys spending time near the ocean.
