Teleperformance, the leading global provider of outsourced customer experience management services, recently participated in Gawad Kalinga’s annual home-building project, the Bayani Challenge in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.
Launched in 2006 as a response to the typhoon victims in Southern Leyte, the Bayani Challenge is an annual gathering of volunteers who give the best of themselves and worked together in building homes, repairing schools, rehabilitating the environment and interacting with children. This year’s Bayani Challenge dubbed as “Isang Bayan, Isang Bayanihan” (One Nation, One Team Spirit) gathered nearly 100,000 volunteers from different sectors to build homes in 35 provinces nationwide in five days.
Now on its second year of participation, fourteen Teleperformance employees volunteered their time and talents, together with ten skilled workers from the Teleperformance Village in Tanay, Rizal. The team worked hand-in-hand building two homes located in Barangay Pulong in Santa Rosa, Laguna from March 23 to 27.
During the five-day house-building challenge, Team Teleperformance demonstrated cooperation, hard work, dedication and commitment to be of service as they built the houses from ground up, and were the first team to complete the construction.
Aside from its successful construction of two houses, Team Teleperformance was awarded the Bayani Challenge Energetic Team Award.
