Prior to his current role at Banor Associates LLC, Mr. Obanor served as chief executive officer at the same firm from 2008 until present day. Before that he was an insurance consultant, where he honed his skills in financial analysis across diverse areas, including taxation and retirement planning.

Mr. Obanor's academic journey began at Seton Hall University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations in 2007. He then pursued a Master of Accountancy in Taxation from Rutgers University, which he completed in 2015. In 2022, he achieved an Executive Juris Doctorate in Tax Law from Purdue University Global.

Mr. Obanor's success can be attributed to his work ethic, commitment to honesty, and his approach to treating his clients' problems as his own. His consistent track record of trustworthy judgment has earned him the trust of many over the years, significantly propelling his career.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Obanor is deeply involved in several nonprofit organizations. He serves as the president of the League for Social Justice, an international non-governmental organization focused on providing free legal assistance to individuals unjustly incarcerated, providing humanitarian needs for communities displaced or affected by natural/human-made disasters, and championing the course of women's suffrage in sub-Saharan Africa. He is also the founder and CEO of Indigents Project Inc., a nonprofit organization whose goals are to provide free tax education, filing, and counseling to the elderly and individuals with low to moderate income in the community. His organization is currently partnering with the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) through its VITA Program; with this partnership, Mr. Obanor's organization has made a tremendous difference in the community and the lives of indigent taxpayers. He also authors a biweekly publication called the Diaspora Despatch, sharing his insights on a range of economic and sociopolitical issues in America and across the globe.

Mr. Obanor's personal life reflects his professional dedication to service. He serves as president of several nonprofit humanitarian and charitable organizations. Mr. Obanor is a proud father to Hannabel, Deacon, and Dean. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, and researching.
