BUDD LAKE, NJ, October 24, 2023 - Carmine A. Iorio has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Iorio is a licensed operating engineer and management expert celebrating nearly three decades of excellence in his field. He holds a technical degree in digital electronics and microprocessor theory from DeVry University and a Stationary Engineering diploma from Essex County Vocational-Technical School. After working as an electronics specialist and a security alarm service technician, he pursued an apprenticeship in operating engineering and facilities maintenance through the Local 68 union, graduating from his program in 2005.
Mr. Iorio began his career in 1996 as an exhibit maintenance manager for the Liberty Science Center, where he oversaw installation and maintenance of electrical and digital display components for museum installations until 2002, when he became an operating engineer for A&P. The following year, Mr. Iorio joined CSI International and AT&T as an operating engineer and mechanical foreman positions, he would hold through 2006. He became a lead HVAC mechanic for ISS Facility Services in 2006, rising to become chief engineer for the company from 2007 until 2010, with responsibilities including overseeing and coordinating all maintenance for four federal administration buildings in New Jersey.
In 2010, Mr. Iorio held the position of Work Control Center Manager for FedCap, placing him in charge of facilities maintenance of the William J. Hughes Technical Center, a diverse industrial and office property at the Atlantic City Airport with more than 50 employees. Since 2011, he has excelled as the Chief Engineer for ABM/Able Services, where he oversees operations and administration of a million+ square foot facility including more than 50,000 square feet of data center space and a parking garage. In 2018, he added additional responsibilities as the Regional Chief Engineer for Nightingale Properties, working with company directors and property management teams to assess acquisitions, maintenance, and project planning for a portfolio of properties throughout the United States.
In recognition of his work, Mr. Iorio has been presented with numerous awards and citations, including a Most Improved Building of the Year Award. He credits his success to his people-first approach, emphasis on collaborative problem¬ solving, and the support and influence of his wife and his professional mentors, especially those from his apprenticeship program. In the coming years, Mr. Iorio hopes to continue his work with an eye on climbing the management ladder, and is open to exploring new challenges and opportunities, including the opportunity to teach and mentor others in the field. In his personal time, Mr. Iorio gives back to his community by participating in blood drives and Habitat for Humanity projects, and enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and mountain biking.
