AZUSA, CA, October 16, 2023 - Peter Romero has been an educator for over three decades. Besides the Master of Education from Concordia University in 2014, Romero also received a B.S. in Information Technology. He holds two teaching credentials: one in programming and System Design and another in Media Arts and Technology.

Peter Romero has been an educator for over three decades. Besides the Master of Education from Concordia University in 2014, Romero also received a B.S. in Information Technology. He holds two teaching credentials: one in programming and System Design and another in Media Arts and Technology.

Romero pioneered the first online long-distance educational program (Space Islands), an effort which was acknowledged and placed into the Library of Congress in 1996. The Space Islands accomplishment is documented to have reached 2.3 million students and their teachers in 40 nations.

As Chief Executive Officer, founder and educator for the Academy of Leonardo's Apprentice (A.L.A.), a non-profit organization founded in 2017, the organization aims to fast-track a path to student employment in high-demand STEM careers through apprentice programs, and the influence of Leonardo da Vinci is clear.

Da Vinci combined logical thinking and engineering skills with visual arts. Romero believes in the uniting of Science, Engineering and Arts (S.E.A.) as a way to better communicate ideas and inspire others in order to face real world issues in this century.

The Academy of Leonardo's Apprentice wants to build "digital fluency," foster each student's potential in STEM work and make use of confidence already gained in previous research browsing and interacting online.
