SUNNYVALE, CA, October 06, 2023 - Mike Galli has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on decades of expertise in Fourth Amendment and search and seizure law, Mr. Galli presently excels as a resource for law enforcement. Similarly, he parlays decades of first-hand knowledge to others through the California District Attorneys Association (CDAA) and other law enforcement sites. He has taught for 16 years at the Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigations. While channeling his expertise in education, he worked as a Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney in supervisory roles with the Felony Narcotics, Asset Forfeiture, Welfare Fraud and Restitution Units. He has also been a unit member of the following felony units: Juvenile, Narcotic, Preliminary Examinations, Economic Crimes, Writs and Appeals, and Case Issuance. He was also a member of the Misdemeanor Driving under the Influence Unit. Over the years, Mr. Galli guest lectured at several institutions, including Santa Clara University School of Law, Gavilian Community College, West Valley Community College, Stanford University, and various police departments including the SJPD Bureau of Investigation.

Due to his considerable breadth of knowledge, Mr. Galli has written such publications as the first through fifth editions of "Search Warrant Law & Practice Manual," "Warrantless Searches, a Guide for Police-Citizen Contacts, Cell Phones, and Exclusions," "People v. Diaz: Right Result, but Wrong Rationale," "Tracking Devices and the Fourth Amendment" and most recently, "Forced Blood Draws in Driving Under the Influence Cases." Outside of his work, he dedicates himself to his community by contributing to food banks in the area, Marine Toys for Tots, Freedom Alliance, and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Galli remains aligned with the California Narcotics Officers Association and the American Bar Association.

An expert in his field, Mr. Galli earned an Associate of Arts in History from Foothill Community College in 1978 with honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, cum laude, from the University of San Francisco just two years later. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a JD from the Santa Clara University School of Law and becoming licensed to practice through The State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. In recognition of his accomplishments, he received Commendation Letters from the San Jose Police Department's Burglary Prevention Unit and Narcotics Unit, as well as recognition from CDAA as The Author of the Year in 2009. Similarly, Mr. Galli won the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the Excellence in Training Lifetime Achievement Award through the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Galli takes the most pride in writing more than 2,200 search warrants. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his overall success to being raised by his maternal grandparents, who instilled in him a strong work ethic. Looking ahead, Mr. Galli intends to continue parlaying his vast breadth of knowledge to others as an educator.
