Samuel Obara Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Engineering

SAN DIEGO, CA, September 08, 2023 - Samuel Obara has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing on years of experience in business and engineering, Mr. Obara presently excels with San Diego State University as a lean enterprise instructor and member of the board of advisers. In this capacity, he serves as a lecturer and develops a curriculum based on the principles of lean management. Likewise, Mr. Obara serves as the chief executive officer of Honsha, Inc., through which he oversees more than 60 associates and the company's strategic direction, and as a lean faculty member with Lean Enterprise Institute USA.

During the early stages of his career, Mr. Obara gained valuable expertise in directorial and engineering roles with PPI and Toyota Motors Brazil, Japan and Venezuela. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, he has also worked as a guest lecturer for Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, Loyola Marymount University, and the University of Southern California. Similarly, he has authored and co-authored a number of articles and publications, including "Kaizen, The Culture of Excellence" and "Toyota by Toyota: Reflections from the Inside Leaders on the Techniques That Revolutionized the Industry."

An expert in his field, Mr. Obara holds a Bachelor of Science in digital technology and computer science from Fundação Santo André in Brazil and an MBA in technology management from the University of Phoenix. Outside of his work, he has contributed to his community through Lean for Hope, the social division of Honsha that aims to bring lean methodology and practices to non profit organizations from Africa to South Asia and Latin America. He has personally led a few humanitarian initiatives in Mombasa, Amazon, East Timor and other regions of vulnerability. While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in the journey of making Honsha, Inc. the gold standard in the industry in the areas of process improvement and problem-solving through root cause analysis.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Obara attributes his success to delivering results utilizing lean management methodologies. His mission in life is to make the world a better place through the adoption of lean principles, one community at a time.
