Disability Support International's Triathlon and Inclusive 4K To Be Held September 23, 2023

RED WING, MN, September 07, 2023 - Disability Support International (DSI) announces the third annual Triathlon and Inclusive 4K, its largest fundraising event of the year. All profits support DSI's ongoing work to improve the lives of people with disabilities in developing countries. Racers can participate locally or wherever they are by signing up here: https://www.ds-international.org/events.

Registrants can participate in the triathlon or the 4K. The triathlon consists of a 6K paddle on the Mississippi River, a 12.5k mountain bike or road bike route on Sorin's Bluff and a 6.4K run through scenic Red Wing. Participants can race solo, in tandem or as a relay team. This year's race has a unique twist: athletes can choose to complete one, two or all three race segments with professional timing to keep the competitive edge. It's a choose-your-own adventure race!

The Inclusive 4K is for everyone. It is an untimed run/walk/wheel for people of all ages and all abilities. The 4K goes from Bay Point Park to Levee Park and back. The route is paved and flat and can accommodate mobility equipment and strollers. Virtual participation is also encouraged.

Act locally and impact globally to build an inclusive world for all by joining DSI in Bay Point Park in Red Wing, Minnesota, or race your own route wherever you are. Both events start at 10 a.m. local time on Saturday, September 23. Get involved by participating, volunteering, donating or telling others about the event. DSI's goal is to double the number of racers and to raise at least $15,000 to send two DSI trainers to Cambodia next summer and support the development of their next training module. Entry fees are $60-120 for the triathlon and $20 for the 4K; kids under ten can join for free.

Disability Support International (DSI) is a Minnesota-based non-profit organization that works with partners in developing countries to improve the lives of people with disabilities, promoting global equity and inclusion. In 2022, DSI trained and supported more than 200 teachers, affecting the lives of 6.000 children. For more information about DSI, visit ds-international.org.
