Lois Jeremy-Greene has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

BRONX, NY, August 24, 2023 - Lois Jeremy-Greene has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than three decades of excellence as a passionate educator, Dr. Jeremy-Greene has earned distinction as the assistant principal for Wings Academy High School of the New York City Department of Education. Since 2008, she has focused her efforts on ensuring the safety and welfare of her students and her staff. She has been the school master schedule programmer since 2003, including designing classes for teachers and students, creating flexible schedules that ensure every student has access to a rigorous curriculum, critical intervention, and enrichment classes, and maximizing opportunities for effective teaching and learning that aims to advance the school's instructional goals. Added to her leadership role at Wings Academy High School, she has been a teacher evaluator, observing teachers' instructional practices, supervising the instructional programs of mathematics and science, a special education coordinator, and a mathematics teacher for the school since 2000.

Outside of her primary career efforts with her school, Dr. Jeremy-Greene lends her expertise to the National Society of Leadership and Success and is a valued member of Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Delta Kappa International. She has also been a valued member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development since 2007 and The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics since 2001. She is also a member of the American Federation of School Administrators, the High School Association of Assistant Principals, and the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Jeremy-Greene began her career as a mathematics teacher for the Ministry of Education of Antigua in 1989, serving in this role until 1997. To prepare for her career in education, she earned a UWI associate's degree in teacher education from the Antigua and Barbuda Teacher Training College in 1993. Following this achievement, she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from CUNY Herbert Lehman College in 2000 and a Master of Arts in the same area of study from the CUNY City College of New York in 2004. She subsequently gained a Master of Science in educational leadership and administration from Mercy College in 2008 and a Doctor of Education in instructional leadership from National University in 2023.

Eminently qualified in her field, Dr. Jeremy-Greene holds a certificate in school management and leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an executive leadership certification from The National Society of Leadership and Success. Added to these, she is a school building leader for education administration with the New York State Education Department, a licensed mathematics teacher, and a graduate of a teaching opportunity program from the City College of New York, among other credentials.

Within the coming years, Dr. Jeremy-Greene intends to publish her written works on education. She plans to conduct more research and write reports on her findings, transitioning her career to an educational consultant role. She has also begun developing The Teaching Tree Network, a professional consultant company that she is developing to work with schools and teachers on how to bridge the gap between the theory and practice of effective teaching, helping teachers to engage students in active and productive learning every day in every classroom and every school.
