Backed by years of professional experience in law, Mrs. Courville presently serves as an attorney for NeunerPate Law Firm, where she specializes in environmental litigation, property disputes, admiralty, and maritime law, commercial litigation, and toxic torts. During law school, she worked as the director of external appellate competitions for the LSU Law Board of Advocates and as the notes and comments editor for the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources. During the early stages of her career, Mrs. Courville gained valuable expertise at the Dill Law Firm where she completed an internship as an undergraduate and during law school, did research for the firm. She also worked for Caroline & Company, a home and gift store, and Tuten Title and Escrow, LLC, where she was a runner.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Mrs. Courville earned a bachelor's degree in public relations and criminal justice from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Subsequently, she received a JD and a graduate diploma in comparative law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Herbert Law Center. Driven to stay abreast of ongoing industry changes, Mrs. Courville aligns herself with several organizations, including the Lafayette Bar Association, the Wex Malone Inn of Court, and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
In light of her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Courville has been recognized on several occasions. In addition to being named an Outstanding Graduate through several departments at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she was a semifinalist at the John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court National Competition during law school. Likewise, she was named an Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney through the Lafayette Bar Association, received The Steven James Matt Beyond the Books Award, and was included in the Top 40 Under 40 Young Lawyers for the State of Louisiana, the latter of which has been the highlight of her career. Within the next five years, Mrs. Courville hopes to become a partner at NeunerPate and establish her own client base.
