"Yesterday was a monumental day for our community and for 6 Stones. The needs of low-income families in our communities continues to grow, and the new Home for Hope will enable 6 Stones and all of our volunteers to truly make an impact on those who need a hand up," stated Jennifer Leney, Executive Director for 6 Stones. "We truly appreciate Mike Goeke, Executive Director of the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation; John Robinson, Executive Vice President of Grant Administration for the Amon G. Carter Foundation; and Gary Fickes, Commissioner of Pct. 3, Tarrant County being in attendance at the event as well as 6 Stones Board Members and pastors and representatives from 6 Stones partner churches."

In 2022, the New Hope Center served 17,240 individuals and 4,546 families; while their school-based initiatives served 50% of at-risk children in the HEB ISD, including 2,984 students being supplied with backpacks and school supplies during Operation Back 2 School (OB2S). Their good deeds do not stop there. Since 2009, 6 Stones and their team of volunteers have renovated over 821 homes through the Community Powered Revitalization (CPR).

"The key to 6 Stones success is a leadership team and an army of volunteers who truly have a heart for those in need living right here in our community. Recognizing that anyone can fall on hard times creates compassion that motivates people to action," shared Shannon Fisher, 6 Stones Board Chair. "At 6 Stones, we serve a diverse population. We want to to empower our neighbors with the tools to help themselves and to lift them out of poverty."

The new Home for Hope will enable 6 Stones to provide relief to families through food assistance. Partnering with Texas Health Resources "Good for You Pantry," 6 Stones receives over 1,200 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables each month that is given out to HEB community families in need to encourage more nutritional eating habits. One of the most exciting additions to the new center is a "client-choice food pantry" which resembles a local grocery store. The neighbors, 6 Stones clients, will enjoy the dignity they feel as they shop for themselves, choosing the items they prefer. Additionally, there will be a computer lab where they can focus on education and classes for their neighbors.

Located next to the JPS Northeast Medical Home, a free clinic for low-income individuals and families that serves over 40,000 clients a year, the new Home for Hope will enable 6 Stones' neighbors convenient access to services from both entities. The new facility will allow 6 Stones to offer demonstration classes on healthy eating habits to JPS clients, many of whom suffer from poor nutrition and diabetes, with food provided by the Home for Hope food pantry.

6 Stones' staff thanks all donors to the campaign that are making this possible with special gratitude to lead donors: the Mabee Foundation, Tarrant County ARPA, and the Amon G. Carter Foundation. Atmos Energy was another foundational donor. A special thank you to Classic Chevrolet and Chick fil A for donating tents and refreshments for the groundbreaking.
