Marquis Who's Who Honors Amy E. Brotherson for Excellence in Mental Health Care

SAINT GEORGE, UT, June 30, 2023 - Amy E. Brotherson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Managing her thriving practice, Ms. Brotherson is a distinguished licensed clinical social worker who established Hope Unlimited in 2017. As a mental health counselor, she sees children through adults, specializing in play therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, marriage counseling, and individual therapy. Ms. Brotherson is trained in multiple modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, Theraplay, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Taking a holistic approach to treatment at her Saint George, Utah, office, her goal is to help her patients work through various stressful and traumatic situations.

In addition to treating patients, Ms. Brotherson oversees five therapists at her office, all of whom are a part of her practice. She also actively supervises, mentors, and trains students, helping them prepare for their future clinical roles. Furthermore, Ms. Brotherson is active as a public speaker in her field, lecturing at area universities and before religious groups about parenting and the importance of mental health. Adding to her expertise, she began teaching courses in human development and family relationships at Utah Tech University in 2021.

During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Brotherson garnered experience in various other roles, including as a health and weight coach, for several local home health, hospice, mental health, and social work facilities, as well as group homes for troubled teens. She also spent nearly five years as an employee of the Utah Division of Child and Family Services, State of Utah. Furthermore, Ms. Brotherson has been active civically as a volunteer for several local charities.

Ms. Brotherson prepared for her career by acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Southern Utah University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. She also received credentials as a licensed clinical social worker. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Brotherson is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Association for Play Therapy, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
