Ms. Escamilla is an architectural engineer and the owner and principal at ArchE LLC in Austin, Texas, since 2012. Recognized as a full-service architectural engineering firm, she focuses on taking an integrated design approach to projects. Specializing in engineering design services for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural building systems, she also performs tasks for clients that include energy analysis and modeling, green building and LEED compliance and certification, water conservation analysis, and more. Serving various sectors, including residential, commercial, and mixed-family/mixed-use, Ms. Escamilla also notably serves the retail and health care industries.
Establishing her firm shortly after acquiring her license, Ms. Escamilla previously served as a project engineer at Alpaca Energy from 2012 to 2015, through which she was responsible for designing mechanical engineering and plumbing systems for new construction and renovations and for upgrades to existing buildings. She also served as an associate engineer at Bury + Partners between 2011 and 2012 and at LOC Consultants LLC from 2009 to 2011. Furthermore, Ms. Escamilla garnered experience as an assistant project manager at Tekoa Partners Ltd. between 2008 and 2009.
Aside from managing her engineering firm, Ms. Escamilla has found success as a record label and publisher at Maktub Studio. She also recently signed a publishing agreement for her poetry book, Art-e.
Ms. Escamilla graduated from Austin Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in applied mathematics in 2005. She subsequently attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering in 2008. During college, Ms. Escamilla became an active member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated with honors.
As a part of her commitment to her career, Ms. Escamilla is a member of the Architectural Engineering Institute and the American Mathematical Society. Her passion for the field stems from her father, a build and project manager who frequently brought her to job sites while coming of age.
