Mr. Dassharma has worked in data science and software engineering roles with more than 15 years of expertise in his field. Since 2020, he has been a senior data analyst and business analyst for System Soft Technologies, where his work focuses on data analytics and data engineering. Mr. Dassharma's responsibilities include evaluating processes and improving operational efficiencies by analyzing transactional data for complex systems, and serving as a go-between for technology and business. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in electrical engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and earned a Master of Business Administration in finance, management science, and business technology from the University of Miami Business School in 2019. In addition to his formal business education, Mr. Dassharma has completed numerous industry certifications and credentials, and regularly collaborates with prominent researchers and authors.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Dassharma began his career working in the information technology industry focussing on financial products. Between 2006 and 2010, he was a consultant with firms like Capgemini, Oracle, Cognizant and pursued a dream position with JPMorgan Chase & Co in 2010. There he worked for the next seven years in the Corporate and Investment banking division, till the emerging demand for cloud technologies and the data science specialization inspired him to pursue his masters in the operations research area, as it aligned with his passion for decision science. During his masters degree Mr. Dassharma was awarded a competitive mayoral fellowship from the City of Chicago in 2018, an accomplishment he considers to be a career highlight. There he was engaged in projects that advanced the Mayor's policy and legislative agenda, working with US Coast Guard and Chicago Police Department on data analytics efforts researching businesses that operate illegally in Chicago's waterways and providing recommendations for effective regulation, as well as developing proposals for a new permit framework for emerging businesses. On completing his master's degree he returned to consulting during this period, serving as a senior data analyst for Capital One and recently transitioning from finance into the telecommunications industry, working with Charter Communications.

Mr. Dassharma's experience working across sectors in the United States and India lend him a unique perspective on the possibilities of his work, and he is enthusiastic about building upon his diverse experiences by working with leaders from other industries, including healthcare, to help them grow. Outside his work, Mr. Dassharma is active in community charitable projects and has been a volunteer for Chicago Cares and the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation for nearly a decade. He has volunteered with World Business Chicago, in organizing ThinkChicago to attract tech talent in Chicago as well as in organizing Lollapalooza. For the past five years he has been actively involved in interviewing and mentoring numerous fresh graduates from universities, and preparing them for their jobs. In his personal time, Mr. Dassharma enjoys painting, singing, traveling, photography, reading and researching on various subjects like finance, politics, behavioral economics and neuroscience.
