InjuredCT Announces Scholarship For First Generation Law Students

MIDDLETOWN, CT, June 09, 2023 - Rising tuition fees and expenses serve as some of the primary obstacles keeping many bright students out of law school. Even so, hundreds of first-year law students fight every year to contend with academia's rising costs while staying on top of their studies.

InjuredCT, a division of Aeton Law Partners, LLP, would like to recognize those students' efforts while also easing their burdens. As such, the firm intends to debut a scholarship for first-generation law students beginning in 2023.

The value of the scholarship comes in at $2,500, allowing in-need students to more effectively pay for their tuition, books, and other law school expenses. Both incoming and current students can apply so long as they meet the scholarship's eligibility criteria.

The scholarship is open to first and second-year law students enrolled in an accredited law school. InjuredCT requires students applying for the "First Generation Law Student Scholarship" to include the following information in their applications:

- Proof of enrollment in an accredited United States law school
- An essay of no more than 500 words

The essay that the firm expects students to write should describe the student's first paying job. The firm's scholarship selection committee wants to learn more about:

- Why the student initially took the offered position
- What the position taught the student about hustle and hard work
- What skills that the job has may apply to the student's future as a lawyer

This scholarship essay must not exceed 500 words and should reach the team by December 15, 2023. InjuredCT will not consider scholarship applications submitted after this deadline.

The firm cannot answer questions submitted about this scholarship at this time. Please do not call, email, or otherwise contact the firm with questions about the application process or, upon the application period's closing, the status of a student's application. InjuredCT will announce its scholarship winner via blog post within one to three months of the scholarship's closing date.

No student should have to set their law school dreams aside due to the rising cost of education. InjuredCT looks forward to helping the next generation of ambitious students break down the financial barriers around legal practice. The team wishes its scholarship applicants the best of luck and looks forward to learning more about applicants' roads to the legal profession.
