EvonSys, a pioneer in low-code solutions, hosted a Hackathon event recently to foster innovation and teamwork among its employees. The goal of the Hackathon is to develop real-time applications using low-code. The event witnessed massive participation from the company's workforce, categorized under seven teams.
The teams competed against each other in different titles, such as Web Chatbot Integration, QR code for documents, Amazon Alexa integration, Diagnose Illness, and ChatGPT integration. After intense evaluation by the jury, the ChatGPT integration team emerged as the winner, and Diagnose Illness team was declared the runner-up.
Employee Self-Service and ChatGPT: (Winner)
This project aims to develop an Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal with a Pega chatbot and ChatGPT integration on the Pega platform. This Integrations will allow employees to manage various HR-related tasks quickly, efficiently, and user-friendly manner. The Pega chatbot and ChatGPT integration will provide employees with quick and accurate support, improving customer service and reducing the workload for HR departments.
Diagnose Illness through HealthMate: (Runner Up)
Healthmate is a medical recommendation application developed on the Pega platform, integrated with the Infermedica API. The application allows users to input their symptoms and receive a list of possible illnesses or conditions based on that information. The recommendations generated by the application are sent to the user's email address.
Using low-code to build such amazing apps also means that such tools can be developed quickly and efficiently, reducing the time and cost of development while still providing a tool that can be used in real-time.
The jury evaluated the winners based on several differentiators: good documentation with clear use cases, rule reuse and usage of App Studio, ease of application use, well-defined future scope, application guardrail score, and end-to-end working demos of exclusive features.
The winning team impressed the jury with their exceptional use of the low-code platform, and their app demonstrated a high degree of functionality and user-friendliness.
