JAMAICA, NY, May 28, 2023 - Henry I. Osazuwa has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in international business management, Mr. Osazuwa has earned distinction as the chief executive officer and director of the GlobalWealth Management Initiative Inc. Since 2017, he has focused on assisting middle-income and low-income countries in developing institutional, market, regulatory, and instrumental infrastructures for financial development. He is also involved in assisting minority startup businesses in the United States to understand the value of financial resources and how they can use equity funding. Having grown up in Nigeria, he has contributed to the effort towards financial development of the country and, in that capacity, has assisted legislative understanding of the financial market as a consultant to the Capital Market Committee of the Nigerian National Assembly in 2017-2018 and has also assisted the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria on regulatory development. In 2022, the Nigerian SEC acknowledged that "his participation did not only assist the understanding of many complex issues of the Capital Market and Securitization, but it also initiated many novel concepts and practices supportive of market dynamism and regulatory adeptness." His campaign on financial literacy awareness assists market participation. It invariably supports improved living conditions. The hope for improved living conditions motivated his submission of a proposal to the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) on the Capacity Building for Capital Market Integration project in West Africa.
Before his current role, Mr. Osazuwa began his career as a case manager for the International Organization for Humanitarian Services in 2011; after that, he was a research assistant for Emory University Law School in 2013; and soon after, he became a legal associate with the INTL FCStone Markets LLC in 2015, where he acquired experience in commodities futures trading; and he transited to became a graduate law clerk for the New York Law School Wall-Street project, and acquired experience in stock market transactions the same year.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Osazuwa earned a Bachelor of Law from The University of Benin in 1991. He became a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria after graduating from the Nigeria Law School in 1992. Following these achievements, he attained a post-graduate diploma in maritime law from Lagos State University in 1999. He started a custom track program for a Master of Business Administration in international business development (yet unearned) from Saint Mary's University in 2006. The same year, he gained a post-baccalaureate certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute and an LL.M (Master of Law) in general studies from Emory University School of Law in 2013, and another LL.M (Master of Law) in financial service law from New York Law School in 2015.
Within the coming years, Mr. Osazuwa intends to complete a program for a Doctor of Juridical Science in Financial Development from Golden Gate University School of Law, and subsequently pursue a career in investment banking.
He is a member of the Royal Economic Society UK and the Association of Capital Market Academy of Nigeria.
