Since 2022, she has been a project manager for the CT Wilson Construction Company, where her work has included overseeing one of the firm's largest jobs, the conversion of a historic textile mill into a 173-capacity mixed multifamily residential property. Prior to accepting her current position, Mrs. Clodfelter was a senior project manager for Fairwood Construction and project manager for Robert Johnson Architects. Throughout her career, she has developed an intimate understanding of the needs of the building and construction industry from a planning and architectural perspective as well as from the perspective of an onsite manager overseeing active job sites.
Mrs. Clodfelter holds a Bachelor of Science in business from High Point University with a minor in home furnishings management, and she pursued an internship with the International Home Furnishing Association during her senior year of college. Though passionate about architecture, she delayed pursuing graduate-level coursework due to the economy, and enjoyed a five-year career in law enforcement as an officer for the City of Greensboro. She served between 2011 and 2016, earning a 2013 Rookie of the Year award, while also working in private security as an assistant public safety director for Valor Securities Services. She returned to school in 2014 and completed her Master of Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017 after working as a fabrication lab assistant in the school's fabrication lab. Mrs. Clodfelter also worked as a teaching assistant and research assistant for Professor Charles Davis, where she assisted Professor Davis and two other students in work that was showcased at the Buffalo Art Exposition in 2016. She was also awarded the distinguished Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal upon receiving her master's degree for leadership, service, and professional merit.
Mrs. Clodfelter is proud to have found success as a woman in male-dominated industries and to have broken through with every opportunity she has been given.
