Drawing on over 18 years of expertise in the entertainment industry, Mr. Carr specializes in film and television post production. Since 2019, he has found much success as the owner and president of Carrma | Creative Post Experts. In this capacity, he is responsible for enhancing and finishing entertainment advertisements such as movie trailers, TV spots and creative content, documentaries, and sports features, in the post production phase. Prior to this role, Mr. Carr was active as the co-owner, senior editor, and chief operating officer of agency Red57 from 2012 to 2019.
Mr. Carr initially began his career working as an online editor at Modern VideoFilm between 2005 and 2007. Following this post, he was active as a studio and road editor at Fox Sports from 2008 until 2012, while concurrently serving as a television sitcom editor at Tyler Perry Studios from 2009 to 2011. In 2016, Mr. Carr also garnered expertise as a television spots and trailer editor at Toy Box Entertainment, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Trailer Park in Hollywood, California.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Carr pursued an education at Full Sail University, where he graduated as the Salutatorian of his class, earning an Associate of Science in Film and Video Production in 2004. As a commitment to his field, he has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Hollywood Professional Association, the Hollywood Radio & Television Society, the Motion Picture Editors Guild, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Carr contributes to the cerebral palsy foundation Project Possible and the political group Creatives 4 Biden.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Carr has been nominated for multiple awards, including the Golden Trailer Award for the best music in a television spot for the film "Cold Pursuit", starring Liam Neeson, in 2019. Among his professional achievements, he is most proud of being invited into the Television Academy, as well as being invited to serve as a judge for the Hollywood Professional Association's HPA Awards. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his colleagues and parents, who raised him in a household where aspirations in entrepreneurship, management, and education were encouraged. Looking toward the future, he aspires to expand the scope of his business into an industry-leading company while he pursues investing, entrepreneurship, and documentary filmmaking. Additionally, Mr. Carr hopes to participate in an educational platform to guide and teach future generations in the field.
