CHATHAM, VA, April 26, 2023 - Ralph Rhyne has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As the president and co-founder of God's Final Call and Warning (GFCW) Inc. in Chatham, Virginia, for more than 25 years, Mr. Rhyne and his wife, Delores Rhyne, have been preaching and teaching the gospel and serving thousands of needy children and families each week in need of food and other necessities.
Since its founding in 1998, God's Final Call has served a multitude of counties throughout the state, including Amherst, Bedford, Campbell, Greenville, and Halifax. Each week, through generous donations, Mr. Rhyne and his team of volunteers help thousands of individuals receive free food and beverages, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, toys, furniture, and more. GFCW presently has three warehouses to house the many donated items to be distributed.
GFCW recently hosted a President's Day food and clothing drive in February 2023 at the TJM Community Center. More than 300 people participated in the event dedicated to former President Jimmy Carter. Mr. Carter is presently in hospice and has always been avid about giving back to the homeless worldwide. He has also served as an inspiration to Mr. and Mrs. Rhyne throughout the years.
Besides its active commitment to charity, GFCW airs the Everlasting Gospel on its two dedicated radio broadcasting stations, WGFW 88.7 FM in Drakes Branch, VA, and WAOM 90.5 FM in Mowrystown, Ohio, 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Mr. Rhyne reaches thousands of listeners. The broadcasts also help gain exposure to help raise funds to support his nonprofit. Additionally, GFCW hosts its own YouTube channel.
Mr. Rhyne is an evangelist who has taught bible studies at various area churches since 1980. He has also served the community through ministry work and religious outreach in the Philippines, Thailand, Seychelles, Ghana, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Mr. Rhyne notably began volunteering at local homeless shelters over a decade before establishing GFCW. In recognition of his devout service, he has been featured in The Gazette-Virginian for the food and clothing drive he hosted in 2023. He was also featured on Gray Television Inc. and another weekly television program.
A graduate of Washington Technical Institute, Mr. Rhyne received an associate's degree in 1972. He also completed training in church planting from 2001 to 2003.
Honoring his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rhyne received Letters of Commendation from Congressman Bob Good and Governor Glenn Youngkin in 2022 for his ministry efforts addressing food insecurities and other vital needs of the communities and schools. He attributes his success to his drive to help and bless others.
