Drawing on over five decades of diverse expertise, Mr. Carlton "Andy" specializes in finance, lending and corporate structuring and is one of the founders of Gold Leaf Financial Services.
Mr. Carlton, wanting to pursue a career in the construction industry, worked his way from a laborer on a construction site to senior partner at Carlton Real Estate and Development. During this time, 1972 to 2006, he obtained his State of Florida General Contractors License, Real Estate Brokers License and State Mortgage Brokers License. He developed and built residential and commercial real estate projects in conjunction with medical centers which were supported by the first Florida statewide HMO which he licensed and administrated.
Mr. Carlton was also active as a partner and developed the Wellness and Hormone Centers of America, bringing health and wellness to the forefront in North Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Florida. To complement his health and wellness programs Mr. Carlton was one of the founders of Nourishing Biologicals, a bio-science company that develops products designed with cutting edge science backed by clinical results.
As a commitment to his field he has been licensed as an unlimited state wide General Contractor in the states of Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina and was an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America. Carlton Construction was known throughout the mountains of Western North Carolina as a renowned log home builder, being featured on HGTV, unique log homes in America, and premier communities in Lake Toxaway, Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina.
In 2006 Mr. Carlton established the first nationwide credit repair franchise, Dr. Credit, to help people improve their credit score; this was unheard of at the time. A 500+ page manual had to be written and accepted by the Federal Trade Commission, which he successfully achieved. Franchises were then sold throughout the U.S. and because of the depressed financial housing market Mr. Carlton was able to expand the services of Dr. Credit to include loan modifications in 35 states.
Andy's passion to help people has taken life through Gold Leaf Financial Services, helping people achieve their financial goals whether its personal or business.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Carlton pursued an education at Hofstra University where he obtained a BBA in management and finance in 1969. He continued his academic efforts at Contra Costa College earning an associate degree in criminal justice and police science then served in law enforcement from 1970 to 1972.
Mr. Carlton has a passion for bar-b-que and has built several award winning open pit bar-b-que restaurants from North Carolina to Florida.
Andy cherishes his family, friends, church and the gym. More than anything, his empathy for those who need prayer and assistance will always be his priority in life.
