Prior to his role at Panasonic, he held executive positions with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the Emergency Operations Center of the United States Air Force, and NATO, where he worked as the Section Chief and International Humanitarian Airlift Mission Planner for the Strategic Air Consortium.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Young is actively involved in his community, supporting veteran's and children's hospitals by performing stand-up comedy and also serving on the board of directors for the Veterans Guest House, a non-profit whose mission is to provide veterans and their families temporary free overnight accommodations when receiving VA medical treatment. He also drives industry change and advancement through research and presentations with organizations such as the Disaster Recovery Journal and the Disaster Recovery Institute.
Mr. Young has earned a variety of degrees and certifications throughout his career. These include an associate degree in information systems technology and an associate degree in emergency management from the Community College of the Air Force. He has also earned a Certification in organizational meta leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and additional certifications as a Business Continuity Professional through DRI International and as a Project Management Professional via the Project Management Institute.
Consistently recognized for his outstanding achievements, Mr. Young has received numerous awards, including the General Larry O. Spencer Award for Innovation from the United States Air Force, the New Employee of the Year Award from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and the Outstanding Veteran in Business Continuity Award from the Disaster Research Institute. He was also honored with the Global Innovation and Technology Award from the International Association of Emergency Managers in 2021 for his patented cloud-based mass casualty patient tracking mobile application.
